- 1983, journeyman certificate/Sheet Metal for HVAC, Associated Builders and Contractors of America in Denver, Colorado.
- 1989, Associate of Applied Science degree in Refrigeration and Heating Technology from Matanuska-Susitna College in Palmer, Alaska.
- 1994, certificate in Computer Programming in Basic from International Correspondence Schools of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
- 1995, certificate as an Instructor in Commercial HVAC System Design from Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) in Charleston, South Carolina.
- 1998, certificate in Oil-Fired Heating Systems from the Community and Technical College of the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
- 1999, certificate in AutoCAD Fundamentals from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.
- I am also a member of the Council of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Educators (CARE) and have attended national instructor workshops in Arlington, West Virginia in 2000 and 2001.
Previous faculty experience and/or other work experience:
I have had the opportunity to work in a number of capacities within the HVAC/R trades over the last 30 years or so. Since 1976 I have been continuously employed in various positions specific to HVAC work. Began teaching at a full-time instructor at MSC in 1998.
