Computer Labs

The computer labs at Mat-Su College offer students access to the technological resources needed for an excellent college experience.

General Use Lab

The general use lab, located in the Library (OLB), offers students access to the Internet as well as research and catalog tools available on the Library website.

CAD Lab

The CAD computer lab/classroom is equipped for CAD students. Using CAD systems and AutoCAD software, students can make detailed drawings of structural components in buildings and civil construction or detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices.

The lab/classroom has state of the art computer equipment, an E-size color plotter and software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk VIZ, Autodesk Architectural Desktop, Autodesk Land Desktop, and VIZ Render.

Open lab hours are arranged each semester. A lab aide with experience using the AutoCAD software is available to assist students with the software during open lab times. The lab aide is not a tutor and will not assist with homework assignments.

The CIOS Skill Center is a computer resource classroom open to students taking classes within any of the CIOS programs.

These programs prepare students for career entry or advancement. They also offer skill preparation for personal use. Courses meet the needs of beginning, experienced, or re-entry office workers: secretaries, file clerks, receptionists, typists, word/information processors, and office supervisors.

The Skill Center is open a minimum of 30 hours per week, mornings and afternoons (M-R), and evenings (M-R). Hours are posted, and a printed copy is available in the Skill Center, located in FSM 104 and 106.

Learning Resource Center

Please visit the LRC website.

The LRC is located in SNOD 120 and consists of two centers--the Writing Center and the Math Center. Each center offers tutorial services, workshops, individualized one credit remedial courses, and proctored exams for all MSC students. The Center also will proctor exams for students taking courses through UA Distributed Education.
