The left side of this site is reserved for hours, contact information, the most commonly used services, and major navigational links. The light gray area is for the display of content such as search boxes, links to research tools, and explanatory information.

Links to other pages are not underlined until the mouse passes over them. Images may also be used as links. Watch for your mouse pointer to change to indicate the presence of a link. For example, the default Windows pointer (an arrow) changes to a hand with the index finger extended when it passes over a link.

Links to pages contained on this site open in the same window. Links to external sites open in a new window. The exceptions are the link to the Mat-Su College home page and the Joint Library Catalog search results screens. Those are external sites that open in the same window. Both contain readily apparent links to return to the library's website.

The light gray area of the home page contains the major tools you will need to locate information available through the library and is divided into three sections categorized by the type of information found there.

• Find Books and Videos links to the Joint Library Catalog, WorldCat, and Google Books. This section will help you locate books, videos, maps, CDs, and microfilm. It does not contain journal of magazine articles.

• Find articles by subject groups databases by the subjects they emphasize. Clicking on the subject will take you to a page of resources managed by the UAA Consortium Library.

Navigational aids:

• - Links to help topics related to the heading next to it.
• - Returns you to the previous page.
• Clicking on main headings from sub-pages will return you to the main page. For example, clicking on "Help" on the page titled, "Help - Find Books" will return you to this page. The Reference section also uses this navigational aid to return to the main category list from one of the sub-categories.
