Rep. Vic Kohring to Hold Legislative Town Meeting on MSC Campus (Feb. 14) Rep. Vic Kohring has arranged to meet with his constituency in a “Town Meeting” on Saturday, February, 14, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Mat-Su College in FSM 204. Kohring has invited other valley representatives to also attend. This is your opportunity to meet face-to-face with your legislator(s) and ask questions. Given the recent budget cuts to the K-12 education and the proposed flat funding (at best) for the University there should be a good turnout and some good questions.
U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski to Visit Mat-Su College (Feb. 19) The Mat-Su College Student Government Council will host a “Meet Your Senator” forum with Senator Lisa Murkowski on February 19, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The MSC Student Government has invited the Senator to speak on the importance of voting. Senator Murkowski will also address questions from her constituents. The forum is open to the entire community and will be held in Snodgrass Hall in Room 118.
Voter Registration Drive In conjunction with Senator Murkowski’s visit, the Student Government Council will be conducting a voter registration drive. For additional information contact the Mat-Su College Student Government office at 745-9759 or the Director’s Office at 745-9726.
