Congratulations on your accomplishment! We sincerely hope you
will participate in the 2008 MSC Commencement. Mat-Su College and
MSC Student Government Council will host a steak and chicken dinner for all
graduates and a guest on Wednesday, May 7. The commencement ceremony
will be held on Friday, May 9.
For graduates who wish to have an (optional) individual
photograph taken, a professional photographer will be available on
the night of graduation to take photos beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A group photo, compliments of Mat-Su College, will be taken at 6:30 p.m.

Following is the time line for graduation activities:
April 7-May 1
Pre-commencement information
•
The deadline to make dinner reservations is May
1 at
4:00 p.m.
•
Make reservations for dinner and pick up two free
tickets in Student Services.
•
Additional dinner tickets may be purchased for $10 each
from the cashier.
•
Pick up tassels and honor cords in Student Services.*
•
Pick up graduation announcements in Student Services
(maximum of 10).
* If eligible you will receive a
separate postcard indicating that you are graduating with
honors.

April
15-April 17
Pick up cap & gown
The college has a supply of caps and gowns that you may use
free of charge. Stop by the Student Services (FSM 101) on one
of the following days:
• Tuesday, April 15 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
•
Wednesday, April 16 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
•
Thursday, April 17 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To guarantee
that you receive a gown in your size, please pick up your
cap and gown by April 17. If you are unable to pick up your
gown on any of the above dates, you may call Student
Government at 745-9759 to arrange another time for pick up. |

Graduates' dinner & rehearsal – Colony Middle School
(CMS)

Dinner is served between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. - CMS
cafeteria
•
Rehearsal begins immediately following dinner. - CMS
gymnasium

Friday, May 9
Commencement – CMS gymnasium
•
Graduates must arrive by 6:00 p.m. SHARP to have
individual (optional) and the group photograph taken and to line up
for processional.
•
Ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m.
•
Reception for graduates and guests will immediately
follow the ceremony in CMS cafeteria.
•
You may invite as many guests to the
commencement ceremony as you wish.
Your diploma and photo(s)
will be mailed to you by mid-summer.
