FINALS WEEK
LATE-NIGHT RENDEZVOUS!

Monday–Thursday December 7 through 10

Do you need?
• a quiet place to study for finals?
• a place for your study group to meet?
• last minute Math tutoring?

The Learning Center (tLC) and the Okeson Library
will be open until 10 PM during Finals Week.

Student Government will provide music, hot cocoa, and other refreshments in the Atruim. Coffee and tea available in the Learning Center.


Secondary School Student Orientations
for Spring 2010

Still in high school and want to take a college course?  If you are interested in taking classes at Mat-Su College you must attend a secondary Student orientation and meet with an MSC academic counselor each semester.  Bring your high school transcript and take the COMPASS placement test prior to the SSS Orientation.  For more information call 745-9762.

 PRAXIS

Starting with the Spring 2010 semester Mat-Su College is going to become a  Praxis Testing Center for the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST). The Praxis exam measures basic skills in reading, writing and math and is required by UAA School of Education for all students planning to major in Elementary or Secondary Education. The PPST Paper-based Test will be given at MSC on Saturday, January 9, 2010 and on April 24 2010. 

Students will be able to register for the January 9 test date online and pay by credit card after November 30, 2009 by going to the Praxis website at www.ets.org/praxis. The registration deadline is December 10. The testing center ID for Mat-Su College is: 11247.
